2017 has been a great year for us here at AB Print. We’ve not only taken part in many great exhibitions throughout Yorkshire, including Brand Yorkshire, we have also worked with a range of clients on fantastic projects.
Some of our collaborations have included creating exhibition stands, and working with SF Leisure to design, print and construct the entrance and inside décor for an exclusive Ciroc event. We also worked with global brand, Steeper, to bring their new headquarters to life, and with Loop Marketing to create a unique, custom Point of Sale stand for Trek. Since then, we have been busy creating festive print materials for a range of clients around the country, as well as projects for the new year!
We would therefore like to take a moment to say a massive thank you to our brilliant team and to all our clients we have worked with this year. We have had one of our most successful years and it wouldn’t have been possible without these people. We can’t wait to see what 2018 brings and we hope everyone enjoys their Christmas break!
As the year draws to a close, offices and businesses around the Yorkshire region will be wanting to finish their projects and reports with haste before taking a well needed break over Christmas. For some businesses, you may be competing with other companies to secure last minute sales, whilst others will be preparing to set up plans and campaigns for the New Year. Regardless, every business will want to improve their brand equity, and there are methods of using print which can contribute to this heavily.
Despite evolution of digital communication rivalling physical print work, technological advancements have had benefits on print allowing methods such as glow in the dark, thermosensitive print, and embossing/debossing. These are just a few of the specialist styles of print services available at AB Print. Using a method such as one of these specialist styles that ties in well with your brand identity and the purpose of the publication will increase the saliency of your brand or business within the recipient’s memory.
Sensory marketing is an underused style of print and is a clever way of attracting attention. For example, imagine your business sells scented candles at a Christmas market and has ‘scratch and sniff’ flyers available for passers by to take home. Whilst the candle may not be bought at the market, 5 could be ordered online at home by the customer.
For businesses considering their options in terms of print for the New Year, special styles such as embossing and debossing can portray a professional, high end look and feel for your brand or service. These styles would be ideal for business cards, POS and box packaging. We like to control our projects in house; as a result, our Heidelberg Cylinder SB helps us focus on die-cutting, creasing and embossing projects, to make sure they’re finished to the highest possible quality for your business.
If the style fits with the purpose and identity of the business, trying an alternative printing service can improve brand awareness, and help stand out against competitors. AB Print have a variety of print services, specialist or basic, that can improve the appearance, identity, and personality of your business. As the year is ending, you’ll be running low on business cards. You may even want to change the design or branding of the ones you’ve been using so that you can enter the new year with a new and improved image for your business, to increase your motivation levels and have an even more successful 2018.
Ensuring you have a good business card is the key to attracting new clients – if it looks impressive, chances are they’ll assume your business is the same too, leaving them wanting to know more.
At AB Print we have worked with many businesses over the years to create a variety of impressive business cards. Therefore, we have put together a few tips on how to design your new business card, to utilise the resources you have, and to grow your brand in the new year:
1) Use special finishes – One way you can make your business card stand out is to give it a special finish such as, foil blocking, spot-UV and metallic inks. This will give your card a professional yet quirky look, and help it shine brighter than the rest.
2) Cut into your card – This method of creating cards will add a fun touch as you can indent small designs onto your business cards, making them unique and memorable. This could be key in representing the creativity of your business and show that you like to “think outside the box”.
3) Minimalistic designs – Creating a card that communicates the message of your business, and who you are, clearly and effectively is key. After all, people like to find the information they need as quickly as possible. Keeping the design simple but leaving the recipient wanting to know more is also important as they are only small, meaning space is limited.
AB Print are based in Batley and serve clients throughout Yorkshire and the North of England. Here at AB Print, we like to acknowledge all our customers for utilising our specialist print services. This Christmas, we are proud to announce that AB Print are sponsoring a trusted customer and a great cause, Yorkshire Cancer Research.
In Yorkshire, there is a higher mortality rate from cancer than that of any other county in the country, and as a result Yorkshire Cancer Research have set a goal to ensure by 2025, that 2000 more patients in the region survive cancer year on year. This can only be achieved through donations from partners, businesses and communities around Yorkshire, and AB Print are repaying Yorkshire Cancer Research’s challenging work by further supporting them this Christmas.
As opposed to the traditional Christmas card, AB Print and Yorkshire Cancer Research would like to encourage businesses around the region to decorate their offices using this Christmas poster.
The more donations Yorkshire Cancer Research receive, the more the charity will be able to fund ground-breaking research and treatment.
Yorkshire Cancer Research is the region’s very own cancer charity, helping the people of Yorkshire avoid, survive and cope with cancer. It is the only charity dedicated to addressing specific cancer problems in Yorkshire, by funding research projects right here in our region. Visit www.ycr.org.uk to find out more about this fantastic Yorkshire charity.
