Over the years, we have worked closely with Leeds Beckett University, helping them with a variety of literature printing. Recently, we undertook a very exciting project together for one of their biggest events of the academic year – graduation!
For events like these, this is where we really come into our own as we have the opportunity to use our fully-serviced printing facilities, such as our small and large format printing, litho printing and screen printing – all of which provide fantastic results and accurate finishes for our clients.
The university required a large project, as the graduation ceremony was a highly anticipated event and one in which we both felt needed a lot of attention, especially when it came to the finer details, like invites and the dinner menus. The project therefore involved a variety of print including mesh banners, invitations, menus, table talkers, seating plans and Foamex boards.
Invitations and menus were at the top of our list. We printed the design onto high-quality uncoated stock, using our in-house foiling facilities to give a luxury personalised invite to each individual student.
Next, we began the mesh banners and A0 Foamex boards, which were all to be placed around the campus, helping guide people to the ceremony. The banners were printed directly onto the substrate using white ink for a classy, elegant finish. We used our Acuity F larger format press printer for the Foamex boards, to create an accurate, detailed print on such a large scale.

At AB Print, we receive many enquiries about office relocations and how we can help. This usually includes changes to company branding such as stationery, letterheads, compliment slips and business cards, which need updating with the new address and details.
This month, we helped out a wonderful client of ours, iXRM, following their move to Morley in Leeds. We were asked to design and create Correx boards, Alupanel car park signs and internal signs for the new office.
The Correx boards were to be installed above the windows of the new office, to showcase the company to locals and visitors. We printed the board using four different colours on our Acuity F larger format press printer, which always provides excellent results.
The next step was printing the Alupanel car park signs. These were to be used to mark parking spaces so that clients would be aware of where to leave their car when visiting iXRM. These signs, like the Correx boards were also produced on the Acuity F format press.
It can take a while to get a new office up and running – especially when there’s specific signage and branding involved, which is why AB Print were happy to help with the internal signs. We printed the signs which featured iXRM’s branding, onto 3mm Foamex board, as we felt this would be the best option for the new location, and the client was more than happy with the results!
At AB Print, our clients come first. We believe the key to sustaining a business is through the clients and providing a high-quality service for them. Although the World Cup and Wimbledon have drawn to a close, there are many more sporting, local and international events taking place for viewers and spectators to get behind. Although we specialise in printed products for exhibitions and business marketing solutions, at AB Print we are very versatile. This means that we are also able to design and manufacture products for events such as festivals, graduations, sporting competitions, and charity events; a common product we design for events such as this are flags.
Wimbledon and the World Cup have provided plenty of opportunity for fans around the world to get behind their favourite players, teams and nations and show their support. One way in which this is done is through carrying national or symbolic flags, which is a skill we are more than comfortable in carrying out.
In addition to this, many festivals up and down the country may require promotional flags and to help signpost the facilities or bar areas. With the ability to produce a wide selection of flags and hardware, we also work with businesses to create flags for office use, for example, desktop flags which are sublimation printed straight onto fabric and built with a lightweight but sturdy frame so that they can sit on desks.
The August Bank Holiday is host to many events in West Yorkshire where festival-goers may want to invest in banners to support their artists, or flags to represent the city they are from. Additionally, the new 2018/19 football season is set to begin in August, so many football fans will be wanting to get their memorabilia sorted before the first match of the season.
Based in Batley, West Yorkshire, AB Print take joy in manufacturing and supplying customers throughout the region with customised printed products using our state of the art machinery. If you would like to learn more about how we design our flags and whether we can tailor them to your needs, then please send us an email at email@example.com. Alternatively, you can give us a call on 01924 473481.
At AB Print, we pride ourselves on originality when it comes to our work. We believe that no request is too obscene or challenging for us and are always keen to get involved in bespoke projects for our clients.
Alongside our in-house printing presses, we also have a whole host of machinery to help with print finishing, some of which include Glitter Ink, Wiro-Bound binding and Spot UV, allowing us to create stunning designs and prints for brands.
One of our latest projects was particularly exciting for our creative team. We were approached with the task of designing and printing an A5 landscape folder with inserts, to promote and encourage young children to get involved in ballet!
The folder itself was printed using our Komori Litho Press machine, which delivers very stable, high-speed operation with a wide range of sheet thicknesses from ultrathin to thick sheets. The inserts were then designed and printed using the Kodak Nexpress, as they were all individually personalised.
We then die-cut the folder to shape, using Heidelberg Cylinder SB and our brilliant finishing team hand glued the parts together, to ensure ultimate accuracy and perfection. The inserts were then gloss laminated using the D7K Europe Jupiter 25 System Laminator – which offers gloss, matte and soft-touch laminate finishes.
Over the years, we have worked with numerous clients to create a variety of folders and inserts of all sizes, in addition to our other printing specialities including business cards, stationery, POS and exhibition stands. Our talented team of experienced designers and printers thrive on providing a high-quality service every time with excellent end results for all our projects.
